Downtown Wabasha this Saturday, Aug. 27th from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at the Minnesota Homefront Exhibit (110 Main St. – old Shepard’s Nook store), bring the family to view life during The Depression and World War II. Kids and adults alike can take home a “Thimble Theater”, create their own seed packet for their “Victory Garden”, and share old family recipes (especially old canning recipes!). Librarian, Michele McCaughtry, will read heartwarming and thought provoking storybooks of children and their life in the 1930s and 1940s.
