“I remember my Pa dressing as Santa and peeking in the windows to check on us before Christmas Eve” states a Kellogg resident reminiscing about his Christmases growing up on the farm. The Holiday Season brings back many memories. A display featuring vintage Christmas toys, ornaments, and personal memories is being showcased in the Library thru the month of December. Thank you to the Wabasha County Historical Society for sharing items from the Reads Landing Museum.
I will be reading from my new book, Dancing with the Gods: Reflections on Life and Art, at the Wabasha Public Library on Tuesday, Dec. 4th at 10:30 a.m. Dancing with the Gods is a series of thoughts and reflections on the inner life of the artist, written for anyone who practices an art form or wants to understand some of the often unseen joys and challenges of the creative life. I might also read one of my favorite pieces from my recently published book, Native Echoes: Listening to the Spirit of the Land. I encourage you to show up. Kent’s visit is co-sponsored by River Junction Arts Council and Friends of the Wabasha Public Library. This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
