Genealogist and author, Rick Crume, will share a workshop on Tree Keeping, Ancestry.com and AncestryDNA at the Wabasha Public Library on Monday Oct. 7th at 6:00 p.m. This presentation will offer search techniques and best practices for anyone interested in learning more about their family’s history. This project is made possible with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund and the people of Minnesota for Library Legacy activities.
Now available at the Wabasha Public Library, WiFi HotSpots. Thanks to a grant from the WACRC (Common Closet),WiFi HotSpots can be checked out for a two week period from the Library. The Hot Spots access cellular data from the Sprint network.
Portable hotspots allow library cardholders who do not have home internet access to easily get online from almost anywhere using a Wi-Fi-enabled device such as a phone, tablet or laptop. Hotspots are available to check out from the Library, just like a book or DVD.
*Please note: Limited service in rural areas including Kellogg.
Using your Wabasha Public Library card, Wabasha/Kellogg residents can now check out digital materials from SELCO (Southeastern Libraries CoOperating) and the Rochester Public Library. An agreement between SELCO and RPL will allow patrons from both library systems to access each other’s eBooks and eAudiobooks. If you need help establishing an account or accessing digital materials, please contact the Wabasha Public Library at 651-565-3927 or stop in during normal business hours. The Libby app is the easiest way to access digital materials through the library. Click on the link to download the Libby app: https://meet.libbyapp.com/
