Author Stephen L. Snook will be reading from his debut novel One Degree South Tuesday, April 14th at 6:30 at the Wabasha Public Library, co-sponsored by RJAC.
For the past twenty-five years Snook has been a specialist in international development living and working in Africa. Drawing from his vast experiences in Africa, One Degree South is a tale of love, politics and witchcraft in the oil-rich nation of Gabon just as the Cold War ends. Snook will read excerpts from the novel and will answer questions and sign copies of his book, following the reading.
Snook has served as a Peace Corps volunteer and has spent time visiting and working in over a dozen African countries. He has a doctorate in political science from the University of Florida. When he’s not in Africa, he resides in Viriginia.
One Degree South is published by Rocket Science Press based in Lanesboro, MN.
